• Chloë hates tracksuits.
• Having been labeled “the It Girl” in the ’90s, Chloë says she was initially confused by the title and resisted it, as she felt it was something people used to describe socialites or party-girls, people of leisure and few accomplishments.
• Chloë is a smoker, and has tried drugs in her teens.
• Despite her “fashion icon” status, Chloë did not properly foray into fashion design until early 2008, when she debuted her first collection for the NY-based label Opening Ceremony. For a time, however, she was also the “creative director” for Matt Damhave and Tara Subkoff’s fashion label Imitation of Christ, discontinued in 2001.

• The umlaut in “Chloë” is actually not on her birth certificate. According to Chloë, she got the idea from the children’s book Chloë and Maude: “[…] There was an umlaut on the e, and I said, I want that! It’s a little flair. Just to confuse people even more.” (Esquire, January 2009)
• Chloë’s father David Sevigny has had a great influence on Chloë’s personal style. David sadly passed away of cancer in 1996.
