Mr. Nice news! Check out the recently revealed UK official site for the upcoming Bernard Rose-directed Howard “Mr. Nice” Marks-biopic at www.mrnice-themovie.co.uk. According to the site, Mr. Nice will be released in (UK) theaters October 8. No word on a US or other release dates yet.
To refresh your memories, here’s the official trailer embedded once more:
We’ve also updated the gallery with a couple of new and mostly-hires promotional stills of Chloë Sevigny as Judy Marks in the film today, which we hope you’ll check out. This film is beginning to look really great!
In related news, co-star David Thewlis was honored at the Edinburgh International Film Festival last month with Best Performance in a British Feature Film “for his energetic and electrifying performance as Jim McCann” in Mr. Nice. The film premiered at the festival June 22, with director Rose, stars Rhys Ifans and David Thewlis as well as Howard Marks himself all in attendance. Although Chloë did unfortunately not attend the event herself, you can check out some great pictures of the others at the premiere anyway on the Edinburgh Festival website.

Bad news, guys. According to BlackBookMag.com, Chloë Sevigny was booked for a feature in the September 2010 issue of BlackBook (US), but was unfortunately forced to pull out due to a last-minute scheduling conflict. From the source:
Yesterday, Tavi Gevinson stopped by the BlackBook offices with her father, Steve. Leading up to our first in-person meeting, I had a good number of phone conversations with the 14-year-old blogger and fashion phenomenon regarding the look and feel of our upcoming September issue fashion editorial, her first as stylist. Her voice belongs, of course, to that of a teenage girl, and she carries herself that way. But hype be damned, she is not like other teenage girls.
Chloë Sevigny was originally scheduled to model the shoot, but was forced to back out last minute because of a scheduling conflict. (Yeah, like a surprise sale at Resurrection. Kidding!) The two moodboards Tavi made, shown here, were with Sevigny in mind. But, like a true professional, she took the hiccup in stride, and instead chose model Christine Staub from IMG. (Her mother is Danielle from The Real Housewives of New Jersey!)
Can I just say — damn!

The 2010 Primetime Emmy nominations have been revealed; unfortunately Chloë Sevigny is not among them. Despite having won a Golden Globe for her last year’s portrayal of Nicolette “Nicki” Grant on HBO’s Big Love earlier this year, Chloë was not able to land an Emmy nomination this year either, nor were the other acclaimed regular cast members of the show.
Big Love, the series itself, on the other hand, was able to nab a couple of noms, and is up for an Emmy in the following categories; from Emmys.com:
Outstanding Casting For A Drama Series
• Big Love (HBO)
• Dexter (Showtime)
• Friday Night Lights (DirecTV)
• The Good Wife (CBS)
• Mad Men (AMC)
• True Blood (HBO)
Outstanding Guest Actress In A Drama Series
• Big Love, “The Mighty And The Strong” – Mary Kay Place as Adaleen Grant
• Big Love, “End Of Days” – Sissy Spacek as Marilyn Densham
• The Cleaner, “Does Everybody Have A Drink?” – Shirley Jones as Lola Zellman
• Damages, “Your Secrets Are Safe” – Lily Tomlin as Marilyn Tobin
• Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, “Bedtime” – Ann-Margret as Rita Wills
• Lost, “The End” – Elizabeth Mitchell as Juliet Burke
Congratulations to Mary Kay Place and Sissy Spacek for their well-deserved nominations! Anyone else feel like using the word ’snub’ with emphasis regarding Chloë, though? Again. How very boring.

Well, it appears we’ve missed a project of Chloë’s altogether! According to the Hamptons International Film Festival website, Chloë Sevigny appears as Kim in Will Frears’ 8-minute drama short Beloved, which premiered at the festival in October last year. Synopsis from the festival website:
Acclaimed actress Chloe Sevigny stars in the moving portrait of a recently widowed soldier’s wife who visits her husband’s grave. HIFF alum director Will Frears deftly captures both the sorrow, and hope of a situation faced by so many young Americans.
We’ve updated the gallery with a small promotional still of Chloë in the film, however that’s about all the information we have on her involvement in the production. If anyone has any additional details to share with us, please do! Thank you.
